Position Summary:

Audit all types of Marketing, Creative, Media invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Ensure high degree of accuracy in data entry, and reconciling invoices for payment in a timely manner. Partner with Marketing, Creative, and Media teams to resolve invoice/payment issues. Provide backup support for the department. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sort and Process incoming mail
  • Initiate new vendor set-up, address changes, collecting needed documents and approving vendor in the supplier hub
  • Data entry of invoices into the buying system
  • Approval of invoices in the payment software system
  • Retrieve electronic invoices from various EDI sites
  • Audit, batches and clear invoices for payment
  • Research outstanding invoices and statement past due balances
  • Work closely with Marketing, Creative, Media, and the payments center teams to ensure compliance and resolve invoice/payment issues as they arise
  • Submit invoices to the Kroger Payments Center
  • Prepare letters and reports
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 2+ years accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working within multiple software/platform systems
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and financial reports. Ability to effectively present information to management and vendors.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • 60 WPM Typing
  • 10,000 SPH ten key

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 2+ years accounting experience in advertising
