BRGʼs 340B group is one of the Healthcare Analytics practice's largest and fastest-growing groups, and we are looking to expand our talented and dynamic team with a back-end software engineer. We're looking for talented individuals who are looking to solve challenging problems and take part in continuing to create some of the most innovative software solutions in the dynamic and fascinating field of healthcare analytics.
The 340B team supports and advises pharmaceutical manufacturers on navigating the challenges and complexities of the 340B program, a government drug purchasing program. Our group is the established market leader in data and technology solutions related to the most pressing 340B-related issues for an impressive client base, including the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the US. Beyond our syndicated solutions, we also integrate and synthesize data to deliver unparalleled analytics and insights into various aspects of the 340B program. Responsibilities:
- Create the very best software - reliable, properly designed, implemented and documented
- Analyze, understand and interpret business requirements and derive the best technology solutions
- Define your own tasks, help to define sprints, accurate time estimations and delivery
- Configure, deploy, manage, and monitor deployments, pods, nodes, and resources
- Modeling and application development
Required Skills:
- Go application development experience
- SQL databases
- Git - the commands and the best practices (git-flow, merge, rebase, squashing, branch management)
- Jira - epics, stories, tasks, projects, and boards
- Docker - creating containers for applications
- Kubernetes
- Agile SDLC
Preferred Skills:
- NoSQL - Mongodb or other
- AWS or other cloud environment - certifications and experience
- Monitoring solutions such as Influx and Grafana
- Data warehousing
Skills you'll develop:
- gRPC and other standard Go libraries
- TDD using Go testing framework
- GitHub - pull requests and workflows
- Microsoft Azure - service creation and management, application development
- Software testing - guaranteeing your own work
Qualifications:
- 10 years of solid software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment with complete ownership
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Collaborative and respectful within a team environment
