We are currently seeking a Benefits Analyst to be part of our dynamic human resources department and administer disability and retirement benefits programs (403(b)) for active and retired employees, including enrollments, problem solving, benefit continuation provisions and act as liaison between the Medical Center and benefit providers.

Specifically, you will:

· Administer day-to-day operations of active and retiree benefits.

· Ensure that retired and terminated employees understand options to healthcare

· Provide accurate, timely assistance to employees and department heads, provides proper forms, procedures, etc.

· Ensure accuracy of eligibility and enrollment data on PeopleSoft and provide accurate data to prospective providers;

· Ensure new hires are enrolled in 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Plan on a timely basis

· Ensure accuracy of 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity employer and employee contributions, maintains the 3rd party provider, TIAAA, website

· Maintain database and ensure that claims for the disability insurance plan for all employees are processed in a timely/accurate manner

· Verify and process life insurance benefits, counsel beneficiaries on policies/procedures.

· Ensure union pension requests are processed timely

· Handles follow-up on non-union and union benefit eligibility claim problems

· Thoroughly researches subject matter for a variety of reports, statements and rosters; information included is accurate and relevant to the topic and is gathered on a timely basis; meets deadlines.

We require:

· Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience working for an insurance company or in a company's benefits department

· Exceptional listening and English written and verbal communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Deadline oriented with ability to work under tight deadlines
