As Stemilt’s Bilingual HR Assistant you are tasked with providing support to the company’s Human Capital department by completing a variety of administrative and HR tasks. The Bilingual HR Assistant acts as one of the first points of contact for department visitors, ensuring that they are greeted with a welcoming attitude and that any issues/questions they might have are courteously and promptly dealt with. This position supports four thousand Stemilters and it’s required to deliver extraordinary customer service at all levels , updating employee information in our database, maintaining employee files and records, and maintaining confidentiality related to all aspects of the department. Exceptional communication skills a must.
Additional Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain professional working relations with applicants and employees
- Answer telephones and transfer calls to appropriate staff members/departments
- Enter new hire information in the payroll system database
- Ensure that files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies/procedures
- Ensure terminated personnel files are in accordance with the company’s document retention policy
- Pull terminated files and I-9 forms on a weekly basis
- Maintain confidentiality related to all aspects of the department
- Ensure that the work are is clean, secure, and well-maintained
- Assist specialists with needed items
- Participate as a member of the HC team to support routine activities and special projects
- Create a culture within the team that leads to ensuring extraordinary customer service for all team members
- Hold self and team accountable and ensure the development of a self-leadership team culture
- Contribute to the team and the Company in various other ways when requested or required

Experience:
- +3 months’ experience in Human Resources or related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
One year of college or technical school education; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates must be flexible with the work schedule as well as willing to work weekends and overtime.
- Bilingual English/Spanish and can fluently speak, read, and write in both languages
- Ability to read and interpret/translate documents such as safety rules, 0operationg and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively before large groups of employees
- Ability to multitask with numerous interruptions
- Ability to be productive and can identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Highly organized as well as punctual
- A desire to create strategy and design of an environment that creates a World Famous ! employee experience.
- Ability to be analytical and handle data effectively, efficiently and with extreme confidentiality
- Ability to deliver high quality results with an exceptional transparent, consultative, and partnering attitude
- Ability to interact and connect with all Stemilters
