Scoular is currently recruiting individuals with a strong background in bioprocess operations and production to join our team in Jerome, ID to help produce a new innovative protein source derived from barley. Qualified candidates will be part of a team that is producing product for the petfood and aquaculture industries while creating a clean, environmental-friendly protein source.

The Production Operator role is responsible for monitoring the safe and sanitary operation of plant equipment through the use of various computer controls, as well as food safety and quality inspections while adhering to set production schedules and operating standards. The individual in this role will achieve optimal performance of plant equipment while troubleshooting maintenance needs. Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED and have previous experience with plant operations and controls as well as laboratory equipment. In addition, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks are required. Candidates must be willing to work various shifts and schedules, including overtime. Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills are preferred.
