Job Description
Lamoille South Unified Union is currently seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct and evaluative services to Peoples Academy Middle Level, grades 5-8. This is a 200 day position. The BCBA will provide support to classroom special education teachers in the development of discrete trial programs, verbal behavior, training associated with implementing these programs, and data collection to measure progress; to assist in the development of behavior intervention plans and to collaborate on the development of individual education plans that are based on a variety of assessments. The ideal candidate will have advanced training in evidence based practices for students with emotional, behavioral and autism spectrum disorders as well as experience conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans and data monitoring systems. The BCBA will train and support teachers, special educators and support staff to implement strategies and behavior plans and work collaboratively with school teams and families.
