POSITION SUMMARY: Supervises the teller and CSR area as delegated by the Retail Coordinator. Also responsible for performing teller and CSR duties when needed – providing excellent customer service and promoting bank products/services while processing transactions in accordance with bank procedures, regulatory and legal compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Prepares teller and CSR work schedules and helps Lead Tellers with teller audits 2. Handles more complex customer issues that may be referred to a Supervisor from the Lead Teller or other tellers. 3. Provides ongoing training and support too Tellers and CSR’s and assists Retail Coordinator with performance reviews and interviews. 4. Approval authority with wires, Cashier’s Checks and cashing checks. 5. Effectively communicate with staff any changes in procedures or policies. 6. Performs CSR and Teller duties when necessary. 7. Performs other duties as assigned by Retail Coordinator or Branch President.
SUPERVISOR DUTIES SPECIFIC TO DEPARTMENT: 1. Assists Retail Coordinator with review of daily work and quality control functions, including but not limited to weekly and monthly error trackers. 2. When appropriate, assists Retail Coordinator with time review and adjustments.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of two (2) years management or leadership experience. Three (3) years’ experience in operations, customer service and/or human resources activities.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: • Strong decision making and problem solving skills. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. • Thorough knowledge of teller and CSR services and customer service/relations. • Ability to build trust and credibility within the team. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers. • Intuitive and responsive to the needs of their staff and customer base. • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Excellent customer service and supervisory skills. • Possess effective skills in presenting recommendations based on performance findings both in verbal and written format. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers.
