About the Mission You Will Join:
This Business Analyst position will be supporting the NNSA (National Nuclear Security Administration) Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) responsible for providing federal information management and information technology (IT), and complex-wide cybersecurity for NNSA.
Your Impact to the Mission:
As a Business Analyst you will support the business, administrative, and financial aspects of the NNSA cybersecurity governance and oversight contract. You will be responsible for assessing the business needs of the project, converting these needs into formal business requirements, and producing/managing the documents that will allow the project team to define, develop, and implement a solution that will meet these needs. The Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Under the supervision of the Program manager, will help manage an operational work plan that defines projects, tasks, and resources and a centralized list of deliverables
- Analyze and document the relevant processes and systems, while ensuring alignment with cybersecurity standards
- Create organizational charts with a staffing analysis that indicates losses and gains
- Create a training plan to keep contractor staff current on evolving technologies
- Ensure staff follow the documented approval process for training and travel requests
- Create necessary travel plans to meet mission goals
- Prepare financial reports to include actual and estimated costs
- Coordinate procurements for classified and unclassified equipment, software, and other IT services as required, and develop and maintain NNSA procurement documentation
Experience Needed to Be Successful:
- Strong understanding of business processes, cybersecurity, and complex business problems
- Experience creating business test exercises
- Ability to write detailed functional, system and project specific requirements
- Experience working within an established project execution framework
- Strong writing and oral presentation capabilities in developing executive-level briefings, presentations, and recommendations for senior management
- Understanding of all aspects of disaster recovery planning and execution
- Ability to work closely with SME-level cybersecurity solution architects and senior level management
- Strong background with different analytical techniques is preferred
Basic Qualifiers:
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree
- Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? Yes
- Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 10
- Minimum Years of Specific Experience in Field: 8
- Minimum Clearance to Start: Top Secret
- Work Status Allowable: US Citizenship
