Business Analyst II

Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to fully understand, define and document business requirements for software BI applications and/or process changes through a variety of means focusing on medium to high complexity projects, processes and functional areas of the applications. Conduct user interviews, surveys, workflow reviews, research on industry best practices and user workshops documenting current (As-Is) and Future (To-Be) scenarios including processes, models, use cases, plans, flow diagrams, requirements write ups and solutions. Create and maintain documentation including Business Requirement Documents, Data Mapping, Interface specifications, functional workflows and requirements traceability matrix. Assist business partners in articulating specific business needs. Document all data structures created for various reports and each aspect of all reporting tools. Maintain a data dictionary for all BI products. Understand complex business challenges; document business processes and use cases, and transform them into requirements and prototypes for reports and dashboards. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.

Requirements: Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or two years of experience business systems analysis. Experience must include two years each of the following: writing business requirements and user stories; performing triage on production issues and remediating with technical teams; data warehousing and business intelligence design guidelines and techniques; interacting with business users and Subject Matter Experts to create business objectives, risks, assumptions, dependency and constraints, functional and non-functional requirements documentation; and JIRA. Experience may be gained concurrently.
