Primary Function and Scope of Responsibility:
The goal of an ODL Business Development Representative is to consistently grow the business while maintaining ODL values in the process.
The role has accountability for reporting Sales KPIs, industry trends, and time allocation. There are no direct reports under this position.
Essential Job Duties:
- The Business Development Representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals.
- Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
- Identifying and Implementation of lean practices and processes as a member of the sales team. Lean methodology extends to the sales process by executing a hard 1-hour response time to emails and calls. A 5–10-minute response time to texts. Ideal response times are within 15 minutes. Ensuring we are leaning out every process to avoid over-processing and defects at all costs. Fixing what bugs us. Documentation of these lean process implementations.
- Shared management and cleanup of current CRM. Maintaining client records in CRM. Hubspot knowledge is a plus
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations and negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports for VP of Sales & Marketing based on Identification of most important sales KPIs.
- Giving sales presentations to prospective clients one-on-one or in a “lunch and learn” style to doctors and support staff across the country, in person or remotely.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Understanding and promoting company programs.
- Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients if need be or requested from finance.
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle objections.
- Prepare concise and accurate reports, proposals, booking packages, and other required documentation for executive-level presentations.
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure that quotas are being met and company standards are being upheld
- Filling the customer advocate role until sales and volume determine otherwise. The advocate tracks new clients in easyrx, ensures leads are converting over a certain amount of time to become full time customers, makes sure lead is happy after onboarding and follows up with production staff on cases that have been shipped to ensure correct fabrication.
- Visiting current or potential clients via car or plane to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
- Client training and onboarding
- Off boarding customers to the Customer service team.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Must live in the Buffalo New York area.
- Three or more years of proven sales experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
- Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
- Dental, orthodontic, or medical sales experience.
