Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence Director is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of Business Intelligence Analytics, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Integration, and Data Governance, while working closely with operators and affiliates within the online gambling industry. The Director will oversee the implementation of the strategic roadmap for BI areas, as well as day-to-day support, maintenance, and fulfilling business requests. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing data-driven teams, implementing best practices and methodologies, and an understanding of the online gambling industry, specifically related to operators and affiliates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, coach, direct, coordinate, and discipline personnel while adhering to organizational human resource policies and procedures as well as related employment laws.
• Recommend hire and termination personnel actions for positions supervised.
• Assist in developing the Strategic Roadmap for BI and Advanced Analytics.
• Execute the roadmap and strategic vision for BI as agreed upon by the CTO, CEO, and stakeholders of the company..
• Establish processes to meet the requirements of the strategic vision for BI, including methodologies, practices, and Service Level Agreements.
• Supervise Managers and teams of Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Integration, and Data Warehousing.
• Set high-level priorities and direction for multiple teams.
• Create synergy among the groups and with IT and any external BI Teams.
• Communicate and present to company leadership the capabilities, vision, direction, and strategy of Business Intelligence.
• Determine annual requirements for Software, Licensing, Training, Renewals, Maintenance, Staffing, and Projects.
• Present leadership with current status of initiatives and progress.
• Provide extensive knowledge and expertise in the practices of BI Analytics, Enterprise Integration, Data Governance, and Data Warehousing/modeling.
• Provide high-level cost/analysis on complex requirements and provide recommendations.
• Align with Enterprise Architecture to ensure BI strategy and vision is consistent with the overall strategy and vision for IT.
• Ensure solutions provided perform, highly available, robust, efficient, and are effective.
• Develop an understanding of operators and affiliates within the online gambling industry, and leverage this knowledge to drive data-driven decision making.
• Provide strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of Business Intelligence Analytics, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Integration, and Data Governance.
• Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for BI areas, while also managing day-to-day support, maintenance, and fulfilling business requests.
• Manage a team of professionals, including Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Artificial Intelligence Engineers.
• Utilize Agile Methodology in development processes, preferably as a Certified Scrum Master.
• Groom the backlog of tickets in the company's ticketing software, Shortcut, and run sprint meetings, including Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Sprint Planning.
• Manage daily standup meetings with the team.
• Manage permissions for all software tools and platforms used by the team, ensuring appropriate access levels for each team member.
• Report directly to the CTO and maintain a strong line of communication regarding team progress and challenges.
• Conduct quarterly performance reports on the employees being managed, providing feedback and guidance for their professional growth and improvement.
• Offer guidance and direction by utilizing best practices and methodologies in the BI domain.

Required Knowledge:

• High level of knowledge and competency in current BI software tools, including Informatica, Domo, SQL Server, and Workday.
• High level of knowledge and competency in overall data management.
• Knowledge of the principles of business intelligence and data analytics.
• Knowledge of the principles of enterprise integration and data hubs.
• Knowledge of data modeling, cloud storage, big data, and logical data warehousing.
• Familiarity with online gambling industry dynamics, specifically related to operators and affiliates.
• Proven experience and understanding of Data Engineering, Data Analysis, and Artificial Intelligence Engineering.
• Strong background in Agile Methodology and preferably a Certified Scrum Master.
• Experience with managing and granting permissions to software tools and platforms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of the affiliate marketing and online casino industry is a plus.

Required Work Experience:

• Five years related work experience and three years supervisory experience.
• Completion a Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required for this position.
• Experience working with operators and affiliates within the online gambling industry.

Preferred Work Experience:

• Ten years related work experience in Business Intelligence.
• Ten years related work experience in Data Warehousing.
• Ten years related work experience in Data Architecture/Modeling.
• Five years related work experience in Data Governance.
• Five years related work experience in Enterprise Integration with leading integration platforms such as Informatica, Datastage, Mulesoft, SSIS, etc.
• Five years of experience with at least 2 Leading Business Intelligence platforms such as Domo, Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or Oracle OBIE, or Business Objects.
• Five years related work experience with Entrinsik Informer, Crystal Reports, SAS, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Accustomed to fast-paced environments with simultaneous, high-priority tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $117,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
