Job description
The Buyer & Inventory Analyst is an expert in data analysis with a desire to help maintain supply inventory levels required for effective company operation. We are seeking a qualified candidate that is a proactive thinker, takes full ownership of responsibilities and seeks to accomplish tasks with 100% accuracy. This role will support a variety of managers at different locations to improve decision making through the expert use of data, research, evidence, and insight. The ideal candidate will need to have the ability to prioritize multiple requests and adapt to change.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Buy & place purchase orders for multiple locations
- Forecast inventory demand at multiple locations
- Review & identify any inventory count discrepencies
- Review all inventory reporting pricing accuracy
- Manage multiple company inventories
- Adjust inventory pars in system based on demand
- Monitor vendor prices to lower the cost on high volume products
- Notify vendors of shipping/invoice discrepancies
- Reconcile all vendor credits
- Notify multiple managers of any delivery shortages or delivery delays
- Perform monthly physical inventories at multiple locations which may include overnight travel
- Analyze & reconcile labor schedules to site specific labor budget
Qualifications:
The Purchasing Analyst must possess the following minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree or higher preferred)
- 2+ year experience in a purchasing role preferred
- Proven history of effective inventory management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and process oriented
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to improve internal efficiencies
- Hotschedules experience a plus
- Previous accounting experience a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $46,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
