Devereux is searching for a Case Manager-Student Assistance Program Liaison to join the team in Chester County, PA.

What your role looks like day to day:

  • Visiting a school located in Chester County, Pa, coordinating prevention services to public school students.
  • Provide consultative services within the school's Student Assistance Program (SAP) Team for students who are referred due to currently having barriers to learning due to possible substance use and/or mental health concerns.
  • Performs screening assessments as required and participates in outcome initiatives.
  • Provides family focused services, in accordance with the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values, in a variety of settings inclusive of office, schools, home or other community setting.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.
Education: Bachelors Degree

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in behavioral health care, mental health, or drug/alcohol program. Prior experience with a Student Assistance Program preferred. Valid driver's license must be maintained.

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires staff without an approved medical or religious exemption to be fully vaccinated to be employed in this program. **If you are fully vaccinated, you will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to starting.
