Braun Intertec is seeking interested candidates to join our Bloomington, MN office for a position as a full-time Concrete Lab Technician.

The chosen candidate will receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability. As a Concrete technician, you will have the chance to get hands-on experience in a variety of different laboratory test procedures involving aggregates, cement, and concrete. The primary responsibility of the position is to support the concrete department whether it is concrete testing, batching concrete, concrete products testing and cementitious testing and will also support other departments of the lab on as needed basis.

Responsibilities:

• Process & test concrete cylinders
• Batch concrete
• Freeze-thaw testing of concrete products
• Cementitious testing
• Non-routine concrete property testing
• Maintain and calibrate equipment on an as needed basis
• Support different departments of the lab as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

• Education that focused on construction materials testing or concrete technology
• Five years of related work experience in materials testing or construction is preferred
• A basic understanding of chemistry and ability to handle chemicals safely
• Ability to work with minimal supervision after receiving direction

All candidates must have:

• A safety first attitude
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• The ability to lift 50+ pounds
• A demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
