As a Center Director you will have the opportunity to lead and grow your team to achieve the goals and objectives of the academy. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned director to manage and grow an academy. You will have access to excellent training, growth opportunities, mentor-ship and support from the owners.

Position Overview:
You will be part of the leadership team responsible for leading and managing the overall program including human resource development, staff scheduling, program planning, program implementation and evaluation; family and community relations, marketing, utilization and enrollments and academy operations. Establishes strong working relationships with state licensing authorities and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care.

Essential Functions

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the center, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure quality care is provided to all children.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with all federal and state laws, as well as Kiddie Academy® policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on staff, children, and program activities.
• Plans academy activities and actively participates in activities such as, staff meetings, training sessions, open houses, planning sessions.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with all state licensing authorities, approved vendors and community contracts.
• Leads and maintains professional working relationships with academy staff.
• Develops and actively maintains positive communication with parents
• Recognizes parent concerns, evaluates course of action and responds professionally to needs of parents.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or area of Child Development.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a child care center, including 2 years in a director role.
• Candidates should have all credentials required for the position of a Center Director
• A thorough knowledge of Pennsylvania Licensing regulations for child care centers and a great understanding of developmentally-appropriate practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Action oriented, great communicator and relationship builder, organized, strategic thinker, focused on getting the right things done
