Wilton Retirement Community is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to join our growing team. The Certified Dietary Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of meal plans for patients with complex medical issues, and will be required to perform periodic patient health evaluations in order to recommend meal alternatives or additional nutritional supplements. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for providing the best possible care for residents and tenants at all times. Dietary Manager experience required, Certified Dietary Manager preferred.

Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

  • Perform Administrative Duties such as completing necesary forms, reports, evaluations, and studies, etc. to assure contorl of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure food service work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
  • Assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountablitlity of supervising the Dietary/Food Services Department.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the Dietary Department.
  • Interview residents and/or resident representatives to obtain dietary history and preferences.
  • Assist in the recruitment , interviewing, and selection of food service personnel.
  • Determine departmental staffing requirements necesseary to meet the Dietary Departments' Needs.
  • Atend and participate in continuing educational programs.
  • Maintain a Professional and Productive Working Relationship with Other Department Supervisors, Administrator, Executive Director, and Dietician Consultant.
  • Meet with administration, medical, and nursing staff, as well as other departments in planning food service programs and activities.
  • Assist in preparing and planning the Food Services Department's budget for food, equipment, supplies, and labor, and submit to the Adminstrator for review, recommendations, and approval.
  • Participate in completing; coding and revising the MDS to ensure the resident's dietary needs are met.
