Access Family & Functional Medicine is a small medical practice in Bonney Lake. We aim to provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive care to our patients. That means we go above and beyond for our patients to ensure their health and welfare are taken care of. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will work one-on-one with our provider to document visits and assist with their day-to-day workflow.

Duties of a Medical Scribe

• Perform chart preparation per clinic protocol and as directed by providers

• Accompany the provider in all scheduled patient visits

• Document the patient history, physical exam, procedures, and patient plan, as performed by the provider

• Remind provider of relevant quality metrics, when appropriate, documenting to support quality metric reporting

• Enter laboratory and radiographic studies, as ordered by the provider • Enter in medication orders, as dictated by the provider

• Document and print instructions for the patient

• Review completed charts with the provider between patients or at the completion of shift

Additional Responsibilities:

• Be responsive to feedback and improvement opportunities as presented

• Communicate to all team members in a professional manner

• Occasionally perform administrative duties at the clinic

Required Attributes

• Highly motivated to learn about medicine and medical decision-making

• Strong attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively

• Strong medical terminology, writing skills (spelling and grammar proficiency), and computer proficiency with Windows applications

• Quick and accurate typing/data entry (60 wpm minimum)

• Reliable and professional, consistently able to arrive on-time and be prepared for work

• Excellent interpersonal skills including a positive attitude as well as a clear communication style

• The ability to stand for up to 4 hours in succession, carrying a laptop computer from room-to-room

• Reliable transportation is required

• Prior clinical experience is a plus

• Medical Assistant Certification is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 9-hour shift • Monday to Thursday

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Medical Terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
