Hospital located in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a permanent, full-time Chemistry and Hematology Supervisor to join their team. Beautiful facility, gorgeous surrounding area, and great community to be part of.

Chemistry and Hematology Supervisor Duties:
- Supervise and manage laboratory operations related to chemistry and hematology testing, including quality control, quality assurance, and test result analysis.
- Oversee laboratory staff to ensure that all laboratory procedures are being performed in accordance with established protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to laboratory testing and instrumentation.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols related to laboratory operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of laboratory equipment, supplies, and reagents.
- Ensure that laboratory testing is performed in a timely and accurate manner, and that results are reported to healthcare providers in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Ensure that laboratory staff is trained in the use of laboratory equipment, laboratory procedures, and safety protocols.
- Manage laboratory inventory and ensure that supplies and reagents are ordered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in laboratory and hospital committees as necessary.
- Continuously monitor laboratory performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve laboratory quality and patient care.m to be apart of!
Chemistry and Hematology Supervisor Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field required
- 5 years of technical experience in a laboratory setting
- 3 years of leadership experience in a laboratory setting
- ASCP certification or equivalent required
- Ability to provide excellent customer service skills and exhibit a professional attitude
