Vision House Children's Village Child Care Center, is looking for Lead and Assistant Teachers to join our dedicated team of early childhood educators. These positions work cooperatively in implementing a planned curriculum, providing a nurturing environment and sound classroom management according to Children’s Village policy for the children enrolled in the program.

Rate and Benefits

• $500 hiring bonus after 6 months of continuous employment
• Assistant Teachers $20.00 - $21.00 per hour, DOE, Non-Exempt

This position is Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday), located in Shoreline, WA.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with Lead Teacher in implementing a planned curriculum, providing a nurturing environment and sound classroom management according to Children’s Village policy for the children enrolled in the program.
• Develop positive relationships with the children, parents and other staff.
• Communicate any concerns regarding the children or program or to the Lead Teacher.
• Maintain room, supplies and equipment in coordination with Lead Teacher.
• Participate in in-service training and team-building activities.
• Implement curriculum & lesson plans for individuals and assigned groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completed 30 hours STARS training within 90 days of hire or have educational exemption.
• ABILITY TO WORK LONGER DAYTIME HOURS DURING SCHOOL BREAKS AND HOLIDAYS.
• 1-year child care experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proof of negative TB test and MMR Vaccine.
• First Aid/CPR card within 90 days. (Can provide)
• HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen training within 90 days. (Can provide)
• Food Handler’s Permit within 90 days.
• Active Christian faith and ability to sign our Statement of Faith.
• Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.

Children’s Village Child care is operated by Vision House, a Christian service agency. Applicants will have employment eligibility verified with E-Verify.
