Cleaner – Full Time – London (East, Central and North) - £11.95 per hour + great benefits

The Role
Based with our dedicated Team in east London, you will be working 40 hours per week - Working days will be Mon- Fri, Start times 08:00 am finish times 16:30/17:00 dependent on lunch break.
The position offers fantastic working hours whilst working across a variety of cleaning projects. A varied role, where no two days are the same, the role will suit someone who likes working as part of a dynamic team.
The role will involve cleaning communal areas in client sites, including but not restricted to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and litter picking. If you have previous experience working within this sector as well as having a strong customer focus then this job will be perfect for you!
This role will involve
- Undertake allocated cleaning tasks on behalf of the company in a diligent and professional manner.
- Adhering to the cleaning schedule and follow the schedule of tasks to ensure every block is thoroughly cleaned on each visit. Internal and External communal areas: Reference schedule of tasks and associated specifications and standards provided by Notting Hill Genesis Housing.
- Using the PDA to log all visits at the start and finish of visit, recording all issues using PDA.
- Changing light bulbs/ lamps accessible in communal areas, without climbing or using ladders
- Undertake the work activities as instructed, ensuring satisfactory completion within agreed times and quality.
- Responsible for conforming to appropriate safety instructions, safe systems of work and for ensuring work activities do not endanger themselves or others. Report accidents/near misses and machinery faults.
- Keep all tools, equipment, vehicle and machinery clean and in a workable condition.
What are we looking for?
- We are looking for candidates who have worked in a similar environment across cleaning, facilities maintenance or caretaking.
- Key to the role is the ability to be reactive, proactive and work as part of a busy team, a keenness to learn and progress is essential.
- Exceptional levels of communication and patience and build and maintain good relationships with clients/customers.
- The interested candidate will also need a flexible approach and be able to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
- All applicants will be subject to an enhanced clearance via PVG, Disclosure Scotland/DBS
