DMC Primary Care seeks to hire an individual with a background in healthcare and a strong technical aptitude. Former EMTs, Paramedics, office managers and nurses who embrace innovation and technology are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of medical terms and workflows are required. A strong teaching/instructing background is a plus.

The successful candidate will provide ongoing training on EHR to clinical staff and providers. This position requires strong computer skills. This is an on-site position.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Writing workflow documentation for end user training.
  • Provide on-site user training to both clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • End user administration tasks such as adding/removing users and setting up new user access.
  • Perform testing and provide onsite support during implementation of EHR upgrades.
  • Provide support for EHR application issues, documents EHR issues and resolutions.
  • Act as a liaison between our practice and EHR vendor. Assist practices to troubleshoot various problems and logs tickets with EHR vendor, coordinating any resolution with the IT Department.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with application vendors to troubleshoot and resolve any application-user issues/problems.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with our internal Information Technology department to troubleshoot and resolve application issues/problems.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of all patient information and office matters in accordance with Derry Imaging/ Derry Medical, HIPAA and Compliance policies.
  • Communicate effectively and establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with co-workers, physicians and vendors.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior, sound judgment and excellent customer service skills at all times.
  • Ensure understanding of, and work within, company and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols. Notify Manager of any difficulties or uncertainties related to job responsibilities.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Derry Medical Services, HIPAA, FDA and MQSA policies and guidelines.
  • Attend/participate in staff and other meetings as appropriate.
  • Attend/participate in continuing education programs as appropriate.
  • Perform other functions as required and assigned.

Job Requirements and Skills:

  • Clinical background preferred. Does not need to have been patient-facing.
  • Strong computer skills and technical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated mindset with strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize time efficiently, establish objectives and priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be flexible, dependable and trustworthy.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Demands:

  • Walking and standing required 25-50% of time.
  • Sitting required up to 70% of time.
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate small objects.
  • Fine motor skills for electronic connections.
  • Bending, stooping, twisting required when install or trouble-shooting computer hardware.
