Clinical Educator - Nurse Residency Program Home Health & Hospice

Shift: 8:30AM to 4:30 PM

Location: in office 5 days a week in Farmingdale, NY.

Job Description:

The Clinical Educator is responsible for implementation, orientation, competency and staff development of the New Graduate Nurse Residency Program.

· The Educator assists the Director of Clinical Education in planning, developing and providing education programs to address policy changes, new procedures or technologies, regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

· Provides ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of the educational activities to ensure that they maintain and enhance professional development that promotes the delivery of safe, high quality care.

· Recommends programs or other methods of education to meet identified needs and promote staff safety, patient safety and high quality care. Ensures that educational activities are congruent with the agency’s mission, priorities, and resources.

Preferred Qualifications :

· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Physical Therapy required. Master’s degree preferred.

· Current NYS License and Registration / Registered Nurse or Physical Therapist.

· Minimum one year hospital or acute care experience.

· Minimum 3 years CHHA experience Proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point.

· Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop presentations and deliver to large groups of staff.

· Ability to work cooperatively with all agency personnel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
