Position Summary:
College Faculty are responsible for teaching and mentoring WWAMI medical students throughout the 18 month curriculum and under the guidance of the Department Head of Clinical Medicine. Mentoring continues throughout all four years of medical school. College faculty will work the equivalent of one and a half days each week through WWAMI"s Fall and Spring schedule. This includes teaching in the Clinical Skills course on Wednesday and hospital tutorials on Tuesday or Thursday morning.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A terminal degree M.D., or D.O.
- Current active clinical practice as a physician
- Licensed and Board certified in ID (or licensed/board certified in another state and eligible in ID);
- Current hospital medical staff membership in good standing in Washington and Idaho facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- We are especially interested in individuals who have evidence of experience in teaching medical students or health professional students in the clinical sciences.
