TJ Aerospace is a growing Aerospace manufacturing company specializing in milling/fabricating small to large high precision-machined and tight tolerance parts in Garden Grove, California.

Job Summary

The Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer creates CMM and VCMM programs in accordance with ASME Y14.5, TJA Best Practice Metrology Standards, and requirements specified in quality inspection plans. Position is responsible for developing and documenting automated metrology related practices, maintaining availability, accuracy, and revision control of all programs generated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the CMM/VCMM Programmer consist of but are not limited to:

Generation of programs via on & offline programming methodologies
Program changes (updates, improvements, and rework)
Review of program output to ensure compliance to quality inspection requirements
First time run program prove out of CMM & VCMM programs
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality personnel as needed on technical issues
Troubleshooting of automated inspection process: Equipment, programs, fixturing, etc.
Provide input into development of Best Practice Metrology Standards
Generation of setup instructions for CMM & VCMM programs
Mentoring and training of CMM support staff for new program releases
Coordinate and implement introduction of metrology related software and hardware
Facilitate 5s and continuous improvement initiatives
Must be able to meet customer demand requirements for performing visual inspection and/or other product acceptance activities with or without accommodation
Exhibit a working knowledge of health and safety, responsible for safety awareness, while upholding and improving the culture of safety within the organization. Identify opportunities for improvement and take action if appropriate, before a problem occurs. Report potential hazards, unsafe working conditions, unsafe equipment, unsafe acts, and injuries immediately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour
