Position and Schedule

  • Certified Nurse Aide / Nursing Assistant
  • Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Assists patients to maintain their current level of function or to restore function of ADL’s
  • Acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team
  • Complies with the Code of Conduct and corporate compliance
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient information to ensure patient’s rights are protected
  • Uses appropriate equipment (lifts/gait belt) and follows policy when transferring patients.
  • Changes patient bedding as necessary and makes unoccupied beds
  • Serves and assist in tray set and assist in picking up trays/passes drinking water and ice
  • Answers call bells timely reports issues to charge nurse
  • Transport soiled linen containers and stocks linen carts from the linen closet
  • Provides CNA tasks to assigned patients per CNA competency guidelines
  • Transports patients to and from dining room, activities, and other areas as directed
  • Completes patient feeding training and assists with meal service when directed
  • Labels personal items completes inventory at admission and discharge
  • Follows infection control policies at all times
  • Reports to nurse when patients have changes, physically or behaviorally
  • Interacts with others with respect supportive and professional manner
  • Cleans patient nails and combs/brushes hair
  • Documents in Plan of Care daily
  • Address concerns immediately and reports them to supervisor immediately
  • Attends/completes all mandatory training, education and in-services timely

Qualifications

  • Enjoy working in a skilled nursing facility setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • Take pride in providing high quality care
  • Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to resident)

Must-Haves for Role

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Texas
  • CPR certification (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation
