Responsibilities: An outstanding opportunity exists for a student seeking to gain marketable financial skills and experience in the exciting area of International Reinsurance and Finance in a team-oriented environment.

Job Duties:
Assist management in the analysis of large loss activity as submitted by Chubb Overseas General (COG) offices to determine the appropriate sharing of loss exposure between Chubb and Non-Affiliated Reinsurers.

Use written and verbal communication skills to interact with Global Treaty’s Internal (Claims, Underwriting, etc.) and External (Brokers and Reinsurers) Service Partners

Communicate large loss details with external brokers & reinsurers; manage the internal review process and address queries as required.

Creating quarterly reports based on tracked large losses (bordereaux) and relaying these reports to brokers externally.

Generating, reconciling, and completing Quota Share / Summary financial statements and presenting the information externally.

Support analysis of general ledger account balances, including cash and Broker/Reinsurer accounts. Complete/record journal vouchers and assist in the testing of systems related enhancements as required. Allocate & offset cash as required.

Provide accounting support/analysis and other work on special projects as appropriate.

Qualifications

Excellent analytical and problem solving

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills • skills

Strong verbal and communication skills

Proficiency in Excel and Access

Accounting, Finance, or Math - Actuarial major preferred
