Sunset Cadillac of Venice is seeking a Body Shop Collision Technician Apprentice. Experience and/or collision schooling is helpful but not required - we will pay you to learn while you work! Classroom and on-the-job training and starter tool assistance available - ask for details.

Some mechanical/hands-on ability and willingness to learn and work hard are required as well as commitment to a training process that can take 2 years or more to reach full potential. We will provide on-the-job and formal training to enthusiastic, dependable candidates who show promise and drive. Minimum starting pay of $16/hour while you train to earn more. Potential to earn is very high.

Body Shop Apprentice-Helper Duties

As you learn and prove your abilities, duties will increase and may include:

• Complete auto body repairs including disassembly, repair, reassembly, and refinishing.
• Cut, weld, grind, sand, etc. to remove and repair damaged areas to make car safe and looking brand new again.
• Repair and replace damaged parts per estimate and according to manufacturer's standards.
• Trim work and interior components such as headliners, door jambs, etc.
• Repair and refinish plastic components including damaged bumpers
• Use power tools, heavy collision tools including frame machine and welding equipment
• Assist in the completion of the refinish process on a repaired vehicle, which could include masking, sanding, applying undercoats, etc.
• Assist with paint mixers, paint, cleaning solvents, and waxes as needed.

Body Shop Helper-Apprentice Requirements

• Successful Candidate must be looking for a career, able to take direction and work independently to produce top quality results, take pride in your work, and have a great attitude.
• Must have ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to pass background and driving record check, and drug screen. Drug-free workplace.
