GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for communicating with customers and loan officers to effectively process loan applications. Documents loan activities, books loans, and sets up credit files. Modifies and maintains loan portfolios and processes related transactions. Also processes lease files, verifies invoices and reconciles general ledger accounts. Also responsible for developing relationships in the community the bank serves.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*:

  • Receives completed loan applications and creates a working file. Also receives working files with a commitment letter and credit memorandum as applicable.

  • Reviews and works through the compliance and documentation checklist for each application.

  • Prepares closing packages utilizing the loan documentation checklist which applies to new loans, renewals, or modifications of existing loans.

  • Receives completed loan packages and reviews for accuracy. Monetary disbursements are verified and processed; the loan package is integrated into Horizon, and then submitted to Loan Servicing. Provides copies of closing documents when applicable.

  • Reviews and updates loan information in Pipeline. Creates and/or updates financial ticklers.

  • Receives and process Leasing requests utilizing the leasing checklist. Disbursements are processed utilizing the disbursement sheet and in accordance with Bank procedures. The file is submitted to Loan Servicing.

  • Receives and processes construction loan requests. Disbursements are processed per established Bank procedures. All letters of credit reduction are processed accurately and kept in DOC Management and the credit file.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take calls and emails to answer questions from internal and external customers.
  • Verifies invoices such as flood, credit bureau, etc. are verified to be accurate and submitted to accounts payable for payment.
  • Processes monetary transactions for internal and external customers.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a business-related program and a minimum of 1 year of banking experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Notary License preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Intermediate level skills in Word, Excel software programs.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a highly developed ability to pay close attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong internal and external customer focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable.

  • Minimal physical effort required. Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis.

  • Handling of light materials and supplies (up to 20 pounds).
