Commercial and Industrial Lending is seeking a Portfolio Manager I who will work with Relationship Manager(s) and Relationship Administrators to maintain high quality credit administration and risk management for a portfolio of customers.The individual will be expected to (1) complete loan analysis on new requests, including pre-deal and credit vehicle preparations, (2) assist with the annual reviews and on-going management of the RM’s existing portfolio, (3) undertake certain on-going responsibilities, such as updating the interim report, coordinating construction loan advances, contacting customers for financial reporting, responding to credit risk review inquires, etc.
The role will include a certain level of customer contact, to assist with customer needs and requests. It will be required that this individual analyze new loan requests and make recommendations on structural elements
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Portfolio Management, including Financial Reporting and Covenant Tracking
- Obtaining annual financial information for files from clients
- Analyzing financials on existing relationships and preparing update memos and LCCC’s
- Report regularly on status Team Leader
New Loan Requests and Loan Renewals
- Analyze new loan requests (cash flow assessment, collateral valuation, spread analysis, guarantor assessment, etc.)
- Research, compile, and provide market analysis relative to a credit
- Assist in preparing/underwriting pre-deals and credit vehicles (both new loans and renewals)
Other Tasks
- Manage and update the interim report for the RM’s portfolio
- Coordinating construction loan advances on certain credits (obtaining clear title, ordering an inspection, etc.).
- Assist with Credit Risk Review tasks, including coordinate responses to CRR, monitor action steps for remediation, etc.
Provide Backup to other Relationship Managers/Relationship Administrators as needed
- Assist the team during vacations/absences as necessary
- Provide sales & service support as necessary
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Formally Credit Trained
- Demonstrates experience and judgment with credit decisions and analysis
- Coach credit analysts on credit and customer interaction skills
- 0-3 years’ experience
- Work with limited supervision
