We Require
-
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, human services, or related field
-
Two years of dedicated full time analytical experience
-
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
-
A valid AZ Driver’s License at time of hire
-
Must complete County Defensive Driving course and receive Vehicle Use Permit within 30 days of hire
-
Must complete background check and fingerprint identification upon hire to successfully secure and maintain DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card

Professional level experience in human services policy analysis and development, human services related programs performance/quality improvement, or human services program planning or development
Job Contributions
-
Performs critical functions that require analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs, and issues in support of a process, initiative, program, and organizational unit, or in the research of new and /or changing systems and programs

Coordinates with the Administrative team to provide support and assists in the monitoring and managing of programs and initiatives
-
Coordinates, develops, and implements special administrative, operational, or programmatic projects and initiatives, including the development of scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and reports

Leads in a collaborative manner with departmental staff, agency partners in the development of documents, including policies, procedures, and processes as well as tracks revisions to all program policies and procedures
-
Conducts best practices research to determine the most effective methods for meeting Community Services’ needs and benchmark with other comparable public and private entities
-
Assists Assistant Director with special program, policy, and planning projects including conducting research and creation of reports
-
Participates in the development of CSD strategic goals and strategies to ensure alignment with HSD strategic goals

Assists in the monitoring and management of divisional initiatives
Working Conditions
-
This position will be required to travel to and from various County, Department, and community site locations for meetings, using own vehicle, county vehicle, or public transportation

The position is primarily based in a typical office environment
