Compliance Manager

BeLeaf Medical is a vertically integrated Missouri medical cannabis company. BeLeaf is dedicated to providing Missouri patients consistent and high-quality medical marijuana in the forms of smokable flower, concentrates, and consumable products. BeLeaf owns Sinse and Swade brands, and partners with dispensaries throughout the state to broaden geographical reach.

Description

The Compliance Manager advises and consults with staff and contractors to identify and resolve problems or conflicts, define areas for enhancements, cross-functional efficiencies, and improvement, and identify approaches and plans to meet/exceeds objectives. Make sure that Beleaf Medical conforms to contractual obligations, government regulations, and laws.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review and develop SOPs with department managers.
• Maintain Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintain regulatory knowledge applicable to the position to include being the point of contact for DCR.
• Conduct regular audits of facilities (cultivation, manufacturing, and retail)
• Stay up to date with changes in rules and regulations, ensuring SOPs are continuously reviewed to comply with regulations and represent best practices
• Collaborate with management regarding compliance concerns, issues, or violations
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Promote awareness and responsibility through training and regular communication across the company
• Implement and maintain site specific compliance procedures.
• Lead the organizations performance improvement efforts as they relate to compliance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience conducting compliance audits and identifying corrective actions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and effectively make decisions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but hands-on experience is considered
• Minimum of 3 years of cannabis compliance experience, ideally across multiple functions including cultivation, processing and retail distribution

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Saint Charles, MO 63303: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• FDA regulations: 1 year (Preferred)
