Title: Concrete and Asphalt Technicians

My client, a rapidly growing multidisciplinary engineering firm with offices in Hillsborough, NJ, and in New York. JPCL is a class 1 Special Inspection Agency and with a certified Materials Testing Lab. They are currently looking for Concrete and Asphalt Technicians.
Job Description:
Inspectors are required to report directly to NYSDOT Certified Batch Plants where they will perform testing and inspections on Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Inspectors for PCC plants either have a current certification from the NYSDOT Concrete Batch Plant Training Program, or an equivalent as determined by the Director, Materials Bureau. Inspectors at Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) plants will indicate that they either have a current QC/QA Technician Certification as provided by the NYCMA Technician Certification program at Alfred State College or equivalent as determined by the Director Materials Bureau (Certification under the QC/QA Technician Certification Program is based upon successful completion ofa two (2) day program including written examination and proficiency testing).
Inspectors proposed to work on this project are not required to have current certifications, or prior experience in testing and inspection. My client is willing and able to perform training with all inspectors to prepare them for their certification exams and NYSDOT sign off. Inspectors should have the following qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent, required
· Possess and maintain a Valid Driver's License, required
· ACI Grade I Concrete Field Testing Technician, desired
· Possess ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with NYSDOT, and Batch Plant Staff
· Must possess reliable transportation and current automotive insurance coverage
