Full Job Description for Construction Estimator - Metal Framing Drywall:

Job Purpose:

• The Construction Estimator - Metal Framing Drywall will be responsible for preparing estimates on Metal Framing Drywall projects both for Commercial and Residential clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Construction Estimator - Metal Framing Drywall construction industry, have good time management skills, and be able to bid and pursue multiple projects at once. This position will establish and maintain local relationships to ensure compliance and permanent relationships with local agencies, vendors, and programs. A Construction Estimator - Metal Framing Drywall is an individual that oversees our company’s continued pipeline of new work and ensures our clients’ needs are addressed before, during and after the project is complete.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete estimates in all Construction Estimator - Metal Framing Drywall
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Complete takeoff using standard estimating procedure and tools.
• Request material and equipment pricing from vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare detailed, timely and accurate cost estimates and write detailed proposals as required to meet deadlines.
• Complete bid checklist, summary, and preliminary schedule.
• Review estimates with other departments prior &/or post to presenting estimate to customer.
• Support management team with final presentation to customer.
• Answer detailed questions explaining how the estimate was derived.
• Complete bid checklist, summary, and preliminary schedule.
• Engage with customers to ensure understanding of scope and to address scope questions.
• Review contract and scope of work.
• Keep an eye on profitability of jobs and be able to adjust to shifting market costs.
• Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
• Demonstrate sense of immediacy and strive for supreme customer satisfaction.
• Consistently be looking for new/remodel construction opportunities.
• Foster a sense of trust with the client and/or contractor.
• Stay on top of Accounts Receivable and invoice clients for progress payments, Change Orders and Final Billing.
• Collaborate with VP of Operations on Marketing and Sales to consumers in market.
• Produce Change Orders/Additional Work Orders in a timely manner a with thorough explanation to the client.
• Work with Production Manager to understand lead times for new project starts and material sourcing.
• Various items assigned by Estimating Lead &/or General Management.
• Answer questions from clients regarding financial agreements.
• Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
• Tracks and controls the project schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and budget.

Job Type: Full-time. Everett WA office with partial remote possibilities.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 5 years (Preferred)
