Job description:

The in house Cook will work with the Facility Manager or appointed staff to produce meals that meet nutritional standards for a variety of diets according to dietary guidelines for our patients. Responsible to plan and prepare nutritious, healthy balanced meals daily and complies with Health code standards. Consistently practices highest level of food safety and sanitation standards and attends training, as required. Cooking preparation, serving and clean-up as needed. Prepares meals for clients with specific dietary needs, as required.

Qualification:


High School or GED Equivalent
  • Experience and Professional Qualifications:
  • Certification in safe food preparation and handling practices; ServSafe certification a plus

  • Experience with and knowledge of safety procedures

  • Experience with developing nutritional dietary options for a diverse population

  • Food prep and inventory experience necessary for this position

  • Experience in restaurants a plus

  • Must have or be able to obtain. a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

  • Must have or be able to obtain. a Food Handlers Card
