Sign on Bonus $2500 ($500 after 6 months, $1000 after 12 months, and $1000 after 24 months)
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK - Full-Time; Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. Must be flexible to the needs of the program, which may require evenings for various school events or training.
QUALIFICATIONS - BS/BA with at least 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field with three years’ experience/or an Associate’s degree with 10 years’ experience working in a Day Care setting or programs governed by OCFS. Must also have one year of full-time teaching/classroom management experience in a day care center or early childhood program. Valid New York State Driver’s License
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE - Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE- In conjunction with the School Administrator, directs the planning, development, and execution of all Bright Beginnings programs; Ensuring the children’s needs and services in the least restrictive environment are the priority.

- Directs the planning, development, and execution of all Bright Beginnings programs; Ensuring the children’s needs and services in the least restrictive environment are the priority.
- Ensures the adherence to all regulations, policies and procedures of NYSED, NYSDOH, OCFS, and the Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence and other collaborative partners.
- Serve as the administrator of the Universal Pre-K grant, administered through the WCSD ensuring compliance and engagement in all requirements, which includes budget monitoring and cost effective programming, meeting attendance and submission of all reports.
- Maintain all necessary OCFS records to ensure renewal certifications are completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the operation and oversite of before care and aftercare ensuring compliance, oversight and planning.
- Conduct tours and enrollments for prospective parents for UPK, Day Care, EI Toddler Group and Preschool Special Education.
- Serves as administrator of iCentral school software and communication platforms such as Class Dojo.
- Responsible for the edits of paycom time system on a weekly basis for assigned staff.
- Promote positive morale of staff through the increase and encouragement of communication and the creation of team building activities.
- Assist with the process of updating the department’s functional plans and associated forms, and handbooks, and policies and procedures.
- Be familiar with all software associated with the school for billing, documentation, and attendance.
- Meet regularly with the Director of Program and the School Administrator to discuss any developments or problems within the department.
- Plan and conduct regularly scheduled faculty meetings and staff development training days.
- Complete staff evaluations and monitor the performance of all employees in the program.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY - Supervises the Licensed Practical Nurse, Administrative Assistant and all Teachers.
TRAVEL - Minimal travel is required between counties for various meetings.
WORK ENVIRONMENT – The position operates out of the Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center and may require lifting of children, playing with students on the floor or outside. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
