Corporate Digital Manager

Golin Chicago is currently looking for a Digital Manager to help build, shape and share the stories of some of our biggest and most recognized Corporate practice clients and their leaders. Our ideal team member is a trend-obsessed, future-looking storyteller – a person with strong writing skills, a track record of strategic and critical thinking, and an eagerness to expand their expertise in our clients' industries. B2B experience is strongly encouraged for this role, and candidates with experience in the fields of energy and/or consulting are preferred.

About the role:

This role calls for a corporate social strategist who's more than capable of crafting paid/owned/earned plans, who isn't shy to jump in to write short- and long-form content when needed, understands how to use social for thought leadership, and has a passion for brand reputation building. You'll join a talented group of teammates who look forward to partnering to bring the best thinking to our clients.

What You'll Do:

• Initiate and drive corporate social/digital strategy development, inclusive of paid/owned/earned tactics, with some direction/oversight
• Manage clients' corporate social channels, including occasional paid support (for which training can be provided)
• Support the strategy development, content creation and community management of social executive visibility plans
• Research, vet, engage, contract & manage influencers on behalf of clients
• Oversee and contribute to digital/social results reporting in partnership with our analytics team
• Demonstrate a deep working knowledge of the client's corporate digital/social landscape, and be able to spot opportunities for our clients to evolve, grow or push the boundaries of what they do online
• Provide ongoing social media counsel and project updates to colleagues and clients
• Collaborate with creative team and/or take the lead in crafting attention-grabbing, storytelling content for online distribution
• Bring innovative thinking to teams (client, internal and external)
• Demonstrate a proactive understanding of assignment expectations, and/or ask questions to fill in the gaps in an assignment briefing
• Work on multiple projects/teams at one time, effectively prioritizing in real-time to meet deadlines and manage your workload
• Maintain basic knowledge of Agency's proprietary tools

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of B2B or corporate comms experience
• Social content strategy and execution experience
• An intermediate understanding of all digital competencies, including basic analytics, content creation, community management, influencer engagement
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  Experience using social media management tools (e.g. Percolate, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Spredfast, etc.), is a plus

• Curious and future-minded, with an eye for the next big thing
• Social media savvy: informed, live online, trend watcher, news junkie
• Strong working knowledge of owned, earned and paid social/digital media
• Background in supporting the execution of social executive visibility strategies
• Keen to leverage data and technology to understand social trends, user behaviors and conversation dynamics
• Deeply familiar with major and emerging social networks, including content best practices, platform functionality & pipeline updates; how platforms are used and how they COULD be used
• Highly attentive to detail
• Work well under pressure, remaining calm and professional

Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
