POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Cost Estimator will provide Project Control and Estimating support services to the NNSA Capital Projects mission being performed by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), LLC. The primary focus of these support efforts shall provide assistance and support to the SRNS NNSA Capital Projects initiative by the valuation of the various project scopes, costs, schedules, and management plans and development of support procedures and processes for project integration interface with engineering and procurement.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Cost Estimator will provide Project Control and Estimating support services to the NNSA Capital Projects mission being performed by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), LLC. The primary focus of these support efforts shall provide assistance and support to the SRNS NNSA Capital Projects initiative by the valuation of the various project scopes, costs, schedules, and management plans and development of support procedures and processes for project integration interface with engineering and procurement.
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
- Produce Estimates related to the CM Task Order as defined by the Team Lead or Lead Estimator.
- Integrate estimates with schedule and supporting cost/basis of estimate narrative.
- Create reasonable and realistic estimates as demonstrated by backup documentation.
- Ensure alignment of schedule, basis of estimate, and work breakdown structure specific to the CM Task Order.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in business, science or engineering. Equivalency Requirements may be applied in lieu of education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 or more years related experience or a combination of education and experience of 8 years or more.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Federal or Government experience.
- Deltec Cobra experience.
- Earned Value Management System experience.
LOCATION
Savannah River Site - Aiken, SC. Position will be primarily performed at SRS and various off-site locations as needed.
The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation. A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules, including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). The work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. The period of performance shall be for a period of six months from award of this agreement.
