SUMMARY: The Courier serves as a runner between Borrego Health facilities and provides safe and efficient transportation of interoffice mail and packages.

COMPENSATION:

$19.90 - $20.00

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative Functions:

1. Reviews delivery schedule and pre plans route and driving instructions. Remains on a tight timeframe to allow for timely delivery at each facility.

2. Ensures company vehicle remains in good working condition and is maintained in a clean condition at all times.

3. Assists as necessary with the monitoring of licensing and maintenance needs of vehicles.

4. Accurately completes a daily log and record of mileage, log of pharmaceutical deliveries and keeps an accurate maintenance log for all assigned vehicles.

5. Provides safe and efficient transportation services for patients to meet Borrego Health’s objectives.

6. Maintains good-quality communication with patients during transport and promotes a positive image of Borrego Health.

7. Observes all applicable state and federal laws for vehicle operations.

8. Picks up mail from the post office in a timely manner and brings it to a designated central location.

9. Picks up inter-office mail from other sites in a timely manner and delivers paychecks to sites as directed.

10. Performs supply and delivery runs for appropriate departments and sites as directed.

11. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. One year work experience.

3. Basic computer skills are required in order to perform basic data entry.
