About

I have an immediate need for a credentialed teacher for 2 kindergarten students in Brooklyn. Mom is asking for a licensed & credentialed teacher to work with her sons. The students are brothers in Kindergarten attending PS 219. Both students need to work with a tutor for reaidng.

The first brother does not currently know all of his upper case and lower case letters, he is also struggling with his sight words. He is below in reading, is at level A, and needs to be level D. He is at risk of not completing Kindergarten.

The second brother knows his alphabet and can sound out words, but also needs assistance with reading. He is also at a level A in reading, and need to be at a level E.

The main goal for the brothers is to ensure they can each get up to their respective reading levels.

Mom wants 1.5 hour sessions (1 hour dedicated to the 1st brother & 30 minutes dedicated to the 2nd brother) 2 times a week. They are available Monday through Friday from 6pm-10pm.

Job Requirements

• Tutor must be willing to work at the student's home in Brooklyn on Cropsey Avenue inbetween the corner of Bay 50th Street and W 17th Street.
• Tutor must be a licensed credentialed/certified teacher.
• Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)

Student Availability

MON-FRI 6pm-10pm
