This is an exciting opportunity for creative individual who are looking to work in arts administration and cultural development. Canterbury District has a rich cultural heritage which includes UNESCO World Heritage sites, award winning museums and galleries as well as numerous festivals and events throughout the year.
Canterbury City Council is looking for a driven individual who is enthusiastic about the role of Culture as an integral part of the Place shaping agenda. This role involves working with a range of partner organisations to develop sustainable relationships to make the most of our district’s unique character.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of national cultural policies such as Arts Council England’s Let’s Create Strategy. They will be adaptable in their approach and be able to support new projects and initiatives as well as working with established partners.
An understanding of the challenges faced by cultural charities and non-profit organisations would be beneficial alongside a willingness to learn and explore new ideas.
This post is offered as a full-time opportunity. The role will combine home, office and on site working to meet the needs of our customers and partners.
