We have an immediate opening for a Custodian in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Custodian will clean and maintain the areas of the dealership, including the service department, body shop and parts areas. The ideal candidate will be a jack of all trades, be able to make small repairs when needed around the facility, be organized, and assist in preventing safety hazards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light bulbs or occasional clogged toilet.
• Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and break rooms.
• Outdoor maintenance involving trimming and weed removal.
• Assists in examining areas for safety hazards, reports deficiencies to Facilities Manager or Operations Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Ability to keep the building clean and orderly.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
