Worth, TX, Chandler Signs, LLC is a nationwide provider of turn-key sign design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of signs, awnings and electronic message centers to the banking, hospitality, restaurant, medical and retail markets. We have an immediate opening in our Art Department for a Custom Sign Designer. This position will require you to have 3+ years verifiable experience in the following areas:

• CorelDraw, CorelPHOTO and/or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
• Accomplished in conceptualization to digital realm under deadline pressure
• Organized, capable of working within an open creative team environment
• Accuracy matters in this position-you must be detailed oriented and have a professional portfolio demonstrating your digital design capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Sales Reps and Project Managers to determine customer design needs.
• Design exterior and interior signs and artwork for client projects
• Create scaled drawings and renderings of signage within customer desired messaging, city code/property criteria and site surveys
• Design within established guidelines and standards for brand consistency and manufacturing ability
• Apply creative design within parameters of approved materials, lighting requirements and fabrication methods
• Participate in customer meetings, as needed to gather information specific to completing artwork for current projects
• Receive and review design requests submitted by Sales Team, Project Managers, Service Department and/or customers.
• Utilize latest version of CorelDRAW and CorelPHOTO to produce conceptual and technical production drawings
• Dedicate time to research new sign / design technology in order to reach maximum efficiencies and value engineer sign products
• Attend periodic design meetings called and held by immediate supervisor.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Art Director as required to timely complete drawings and related projects

Qualifications - Education, Experience & Credentials

• Proficient in the latest version of CorelDRAW, CorelPHOTO and/or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
• Two-year Associates Degree or Technical Degree in art or Design or related experience
• Previous Sign Industry experience required
• Understanding of vector artwork and color palettes
• Computer literacy – well versed in vector-based drawing programs – Experience/proficiency in Coreldraw a plus.
• Can work in scale effectively – ability to read blueprints a plus.
• Strong math skills – can calculate area, interpret/convert measurements.

Shift

• 8:00am - 5:00pm (flexible) This is not a remote position.

• Hourly DOE
