Customer Service Representative (CSR)

We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative. A customer service representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, and resolve any emerging problems with accuracy and efficiency. The best CSRs are genuinely excited to help customers and their pets, showing patience, empathy, and passion for veterinary care. A CSR ensures excellent service standards, responds efficiently to customer inquiries and maintains high customer and team satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage large amounts of incoming calls
• Identify and assess customers’ needs
• Build sustainable relationships and trust through open and interactive communication
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
• Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives in a timely manner;
• Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
• Assist with hospital cleanliness and organization
• Take the extra mile to engage customers

Skills

• Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
• Prior veterinary hospital experience a plus
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
• Familiarity with systems and practices
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond appropriately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

The practice is open 24/7/365. The available position includes a combination of day and night hours, weekdays and weekends. Due to the nature of emergency medicine, flexibility is a must. WVERC salaries are competitive and commensurate with skills and education. Benefits include:
