Summary of role
Revecore is looking for an intermediate level administrative DBA to be responsible for the creation, security, monitoring, and maintenance of all databases. This person will report to and work collaboratively with a senior database administrator who has extensive knowledge and practical experience with the company operations and IT teams. Most of our databases are SQL, but we are in the process of developing Cloud services for certain applications. We are looking for team-oriented, collaborative, willing to learn and take ownership of their work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:

Modify existing databases or direct developers and analysts to make changes.

Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.

Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.

Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases.

Use industry standard tools to continuously monitor database use and performance.

Plan and implement performance tuning for databases.

Set and maintain database standards.

Manage database access requests according to company policies.

Specify users and user access levels for each segment of database.

Participate in all aspects of the Agile SDLC

Deploy completed products as part of Sprint release cycle and on as needed basis.

Work collaboratively with the infrastructure, application development, and business intelligence teams to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.

Develop documentation on a requested basis.

Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for management.

Perform on-call support as needed during and after core work hours.

Provide technical support for databases.
