Our dental practice,
West Des Moines Dental Center, has been serving this community for years! We are looking for a trusted full-time dental assistant to join our practice and care for our patients. Candidates must be reliable, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Candidates should have at least 1 year experience in chairside dental assisting. As a practice, we provide great customer service to our patients and look forward to adding a new team member to our patient focused team.
Job Duties:
- Assist the dentist in all dental procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment
- Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Obtain dental history and/or records from patient and ensure that the health history is updated for all returning patients
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
- take digital x-rays
