Chestnut Dental is now hiring for the following open position:

Full-Time Clinical Assistant / Sterilization Technician

Job Specifications:  Current Dental Assisting License issued by the Board of Registration in Dentistry per Massachusetts law.  Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification  Current Hepatitis Vaccination as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Radiology Certification Preferred

Responsibilities:  Set up sterilization room at start and end of day  Assist in the use and maintenance of equipment, specifically – autoclave, statim, ultrasonics, model trimmer.  Clear units of used instruments, properly prepare for sterilization process, sterilize instruments and prepare setups for next use.  Perform biological testing weekly on all sterilizers.  Take extra oral/intra oral x-rays as requested after completing training.  Pour dental impressions, fabricate essix retainers, maintain stock in lab and operatory.  Prepare lab cases for transport and maintain appliance log, including ortho appliance log.  Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
