SHRS-Physical Therapy - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23003238)
Oversees administrative operations, facilitates and schedules projects, serves as liaison between internal and external stakeholders, recommends organizational changes to increase effectiveness, and resolves issues. Assists with strategic plans and budgetary functions.
The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh is ranked number 1 in the US News and World Report. We offer an entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, and post-professional programs leading to a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences, and dual DPT-PhD in Bioengineering degrees as well as post-graduate certificates. The DPT degree is delivered in two formats: residential and hybrid.

Essential Functions The Department Administrator position provides administrative assistance to faculty, staff, and students. This position is responsible for coordinating purchases and payments, travel arrangements, department events, conference registrations, and building maintenance. The incumbent will help coordinate compliance reports for faculty and staff, as well as facilitate public relations and manage student workers. The incumbent will also provide administrative support for the Vice Chairs for DPT Education and Faculty Affairs. The incumbent should have a good understanding of University policies and procedures and manage administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision from Executive Administrator. Must be able to manage, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects and activities. Effective oral and written communication skills are required.
Physical Effort Position is sedentary: must be able to sit for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to reach and bend for office supplies. Must be able to lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
