Job Summary:
Paradiso Recovery is located in Camarillo, CA. We are looking for registered nurses who have an understanding of the industry, and want to assist in helping others with substance abuse issues. Our goal is to provide guidance’s to our residents through their Detoxification process, maintain a safe environment, and set up services for a lower level of care.
- Medication observation and management during scheduled hours. Medications must be logged into KIPU EMR system and any unusual behaviors must be reported.
- COWS/ CIWA assessments throughout shift
- Redirecting and de-escalating agitated clients
- Monitor and report detox symptoms/daily notes
- Coordinating with Pharmacy, medication inventory
- Communicate with Medical Director and coordinate visits
- Complete client intake process, including searches and gathering UA’s
- Support and encouragement of clients
- Communication with all departments
- Supporting Residential Advisor to ensure client safety
- Conducts UA drug screen collection and processing as scheduled. Conducts vitals for all residents several times per shift, including 30-minute vitals checks on clients undergoing detox.
- Conduct thorough room and facility searches once per shift to ensure clients’ safety. Immediately report any concerning items found to Director of Operations.
- Ensuring clients are signing all intake documents and completing their intake inventory.
- Maintaining line-of-sight for all clients at all times and reporting unusual behavior to the Director of Operations.
- Routinely completes ongoing training while on shift through the Relias platform.
- Completing shift notes for each client to include the client’s day-to-day activities, usual behaviors, and any other pertinent information prior to the end of shift.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- First aid and CPR certification
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic Computer skills i.e. internet, email, and Word
Education and Experience:
- Must be a registered
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time
- Must be able to lift and carry light objects and parcels as an incidental part of their job
- The position needs to occasional move about inside and outside the facility frequently
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery
- Frequently communicates with other employees
