Job Description Summary

Part Handler / Inspection specialist - Role Summary
An Inspection Specialist is tasked to perform product quality sampling, produced from a set of injection molding machines. The associate will be trained to utilize, calipers, pin gages, and other measurement methods to ensure a high level of Quality Assurance throughout their shift. Along with product inspection, the associate is to package, label, and handle materials on an assigned area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (On the job training will be provided for the following):

  • Inspect parts as quality control, determining product acceptance and using tools and equipment as needed according to quality management system

  • Provide accurate documentation/paperwork on all required tasks

  • Package, label, and transport product by performing part handling as instructed

  • Comply with all laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and work instructions

  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines

  • Exemplify BD culture & values

  • Follow schedule for work shifts, meetings, time off, overtime, and breaks

  • Assist and stay current with initial/on-going trainings, and communications

  • Responsible for completing all housekeeping, basic maintenance, and 5S tasks

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

  • As needed identify, report, and take actions when things are wrong

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Effective written and oral communication skills (English)

  • Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints (English)

  • Polite interpersonal skills

  • Basic math skills (Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra)

  • Basic computer skills (Navigation, Using Complex Passwords, Open/Close/Saving files, Internet)

  • Preferred 2 to 4 Years of Full-Time Work Experience or equivalent
