Job Summary:
Supervises the preparation and serving of meals, maintains a high standard of sanitation and safety, and maintains and improves standards of food preparation and service.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and instructs food service workers in preparing and serving of meals;
- Maintains high standards of sanitation;
- Instructs employees on safety procedures when operating food service equipment;
- Maintains and improves standards of food preparation and service;
- Applies the basic principles of supervision;
- Prepares employee work schedules;
- Prepares job assignments; and
- Complies with OSHA's requirements
- Conducts in-service training
- Maintains resident nutrition records
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Training and Experience: Preferably one year of supervisory experience in a health care food service department and one year of quality food production experience.
Certifications/License: None
Job Knowledge: Must have knowledge in food service techniques, ability to maintain high standards of food service and be able to operate food preparation equipment.
